GETTING TO THE GOOD PART. UPLOADING YOUR MS.

Wanting to be as sure as possible that everything was hunky dory I uploaded my document many times. Each time proof reading & making adjustments. Am I pedantic or what? No.  Small errors needing correcting appeared each time.
I chose to convert my word document to PDF (easy enough- just don’t convert it back to word again or it will go out of whack) if you want to make changes go to the word doc you used to convert to PDF & work on that. When changes are made convert again to PDF using a slightly different title for doc before uploading again.
It really doesn’t matter how many times you do this until you are satisfied it is exactly the way you want it. Then you submit to CS for publishing. (this is not final) They will get back to you via email with the document & comments regarding any changes to make it print worthy. NOTE this is only to do with cover, print, page size etc, not to correct any errors you have overlooked in editing.
Next step very exciting. Doing final proof read. You can view your cover & the pages of your book as they will be when printed. Once again this needs to be gone over as if your very future depended on it. As a published, highly acclaimed author you want to be the very best you can be.
Ordering your books is so exciting. Holding them in your hands knowing you have created this is what every author dreams of.  Good luck

    Hi Lori have just finished reading 'A Hint of Darkness' I could not put it down. I was hooked from page 1. My mission tomorrow is to go and buy the second book of the Saga of Emmaline Gidley-King.

STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

AUTHOR OR BUSINESS PERSON? You can be an artist & still have a good head for business Your books are launched, first flurry of sales has slowed, so what now? What happens now separates the authors from the business people. Gone are the days when one of the big publishing houses looked after your marketing.  26 TH March 2019 BOOKS PUBLISHED –NOW HOW TO GET YOUR NAME OUT THERE?   Finding a way through the maze of creating an author platform and still having time to write, is a major problem for many authors. But if your name isn’t out there and on people’s reading list you might as well turn off your computer & concentrate on writing letters instead.   I have been on the mailing list for AUTHORS PUBLISH for some time. Reading bits here & there.   Not doing too much with the info. NOW I have struck gold. I downloaded their free copy of HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR WORK edited by Caitlin Jans who is also the editor of Authors Publish Magazine. Fourteen authors have contributed to this work. I have no doubt it will take me some time to work my way through & utilise the information. I’ve set myself up a daily to do list. The contents are set out in an easy to follow index, it is the magnitude of what I’m looking at & where I go from here that has me jumping up & down.
